On July 3, 2025, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) updated the processing times for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications under various streams. Based on statistics from all processing centres, the current average LMIA processing times have decreased or remained the same for all streams, except for the Permanent Residence and Global Talent streams.
- Global Talent Stream – 9 business days (+2 days)
- Agricultural stream – 14 business days
- Programme des travailleurs agricoles saisonniers - 8 jours ouvrables
- Permanent Residence Stream – 240 business days (+5 days)
- High-wage Stream – 41 business days (-9 days)
- Low-wage Stream – 45 business days (-5 days)
