The comprehensive report, released on May 9, 2025, highlights an unprecedented surge in immigration, particularly among temporary workers. The study indicates that recent immigrants tend to be younger, lower-skilled, and predominantly from regions such as India, sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. Notably, temporary migrant workers now earn approximately 22.6% less than their Canadian-born counterparts, a wage gap that has more than doubled since 2015.
