Immigration consultant uncovers forged documents in BC foreign worker scheme

Surrey-based immigration consultant Neera Agnihotri has discovered multiple forged Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) bearing her company’s name, exposing a widespread scam targeting foreign workers. The fraudulent documents, which typically cost genuine employers thousands to obtain legally from Employment and Social Development Canada, are being sold by scammers for up to $45,000 to desperate foreign nationals hoping to work in Canada. Agnihotri found her firm, Agnihotri Immigration Consulting Inc., listed as a third-party representative on documents she never processed, raising concerns about the scale of this deceptive practice.
